Does anyone actually like Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, or do they just say they like them to seem smart?
Because that’s the impression I’ve gotten, and I haven’t really seen any actual reasons to like either game.
I should probably actually figure out how to play Fallout before trying, because I just totally failed to kill a rat.
But I’ll save that for tomorrow.
I saw SSZ was on sale and I was about to gift it to you, Monty.
I will still accept other things as gifts, of course.
Like Dragon Age, if you want to watch me get drunk and angry and try playing it.
DAO is REALLY great on the computer, honestly. Like, I couldn’t imagine playing it on console. I loved playing it on PC.
The pause and play strategy was really great. I used two mages, a rogue, and a warrior. I’d fucking have my main character (rogue) sneak into room, find locations of enemies.
Then sneak out, drop area spells inside the rooms with the two mages, while the rogue and block the doors so the enemies couldn’t get to my mages.
I fucked so much shit up.
Did you like SSZ, what you played of it?
It’s a lot of fun. VERY Macross inspired. Like, to the point that is uses some of the same terminology. The gameplay is even reminiscent of the PSP Macross game (Ace Frontier, Ultimate Frontier, and Triangle Frontier) that I played and loved on my hacked PSP last year. But of course there’s more depth to it, since the PSP kind of lacked buttons.
MY main problem with Dragon Age is actually the opposite of why I dislike Mass Effect. The gameplay isn’t bad, and actually better than a lot of Western RPGs I’ve played. It’s just the the story is fucking boring. From what I’ve played of the Mass Effect games, the story and characters seem very interesting, I just didn’t like the controls or the half assed RPG elements.
Though we will soon see if my opinion on Mass Effect has changed and/or if being drunk makes me like it more or less, as Darth just sent me the Trilogy pack to do a drunk Livestream with.
I’m glad you like SSZ! I need to play it more, because I just love the shit out of it. I admit, I like the fighter part of it more, because I just have a hard-on for starfighters more than I do mechs.
However, I do love starfighters/fighters and mechs, so combining them of course is like making out with Freyja.
Do you want SSI?
If you haven’t watched any Macross, you really should.
And I think I already got SSI? I dunno, I bought a bunch of DLC and stuff since it was cheap too.
And I got Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics from from Good Old Games.
And I still need to finish Xillia, replaying MGS 2, Peace Walker, and Gran Turismo 6.
I got a lot of shit to play. And I need to do it all before lightning Returns and DEFINITELY before that one goddamn week in March when fucking everything I want comes out.
Steam Holiday Sale is in a couple of weeks.
Thank Yevon all of my next paycheck is buying Christmas gifts.
I’ll have $50 just for the Steam Holiday Sale from gift cards. Hell, if my brother gets me a Christmas gift, it could be 70 bucks.
So many games I could buy. Sooooo mannnnyyyy.
Do they ever, like, put out a list of what will be on sale so I can try to save a little money for that, or do you just not know until it happens?
But you can pretty much look at anything you want and almost guarantee that it will be at least 50% off at some point.
The best thing to do, however, is wait for flash sales. If it’s 50% off the whole sale, wait until the last day. Because you could get it for 50% the first day of the sale, and then the second day there’s a flash sale for it at 75% off.
But almost the entire catalog of games will be 50% off. Games that are new, like ACIV, BF4, CoD will likely see up to 33% off though for the most part.
Flash sales don’t always go to 75% though. Shadow Run was 50% off, but the flash sale was only 55%. I’m hoping the Holiday Sale will give it a 75% flash sale though.
Shadowrun Returns is definitely something I want.
I’m debating whether to get Mercenary Kings on Steam though. I DEFINITELY want it, since it’s a Metal Slug homage with art by the guy who did the art in the Scott Pilgrim game and the fighting game episode of Gravity Falls. But anything like Metal Slug would not be a good fit for a keyboard, and I don’t have a 360 controller (Same for Rogue Legacy, which I also want). So I may just wait until I can get it on PS4.
Pick up a SteelSeries controller. It’s modeled more after the PS controller scheme. I have one of those as well as the 360 controller. I use the SteelSeries for old games like Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell, Soul Reaver, and Prince of Persia.
But shit like Assassin’s Creed I use 360 controller.
Problem is though, those things cost a lot. I would definitely prefer one that’s laid out like a PlayStation controller, as I’m not a fan of the Xbox controller. But, if I do get a controller, it’ll probably be a cheap third party one.
My SteelSeries is great and it only cost 19 bucks at BestBuy.
Shit, really? I’m surprised, because their headsets tend to be a lot.
You guys need to just get on Skype or something.
